Microsoft Research toys

The cooler one is system that can turn a tabletop into a computer display and user interface. Known as “PlayAnywhere,” the Microsoft-Research-developed “surface computing” software was on display at this week’s Microsoft Research Faculty Summit. Similar to the technology that is being developed here and here. The other one is a Starbucks coffee detector… (WHAT?!)
